With the GPSMAP 2108's large 8-inch diagonal screen, you'll get incredible contrast and detailing, even indirect sunlight. The enhanced worldwide basemap contains shorelines, highways and surfaces features in rich, colorful detail. Tough enough to withstand rain, sunlight and saltwater spray, the case is filly gasketed and waterproof to IPX7 standards. The 2108's slim-line design also makes it easy to install in cabin bulkheads or open cockpits. For added convenience, you can connect your 2108's to a sounder or other chartplotter with CANet^TM, Garmin's proprietary 1-megabit Controller Area Network that allows you to view and control sonar information from chartplotters located elsewhere in your boat.

The 2108 accepts optional Bluechart G2 data cards, which bring you navigation chart, tides and currents, depth contours, navaids, port plans, marine services, points of interest (POIs) and more.
