The Trimble Recon handheld provides the same rugged, weatherproof performance you've come to expect, and now has the latest Windows Mobile® version 5.0 software as well as built-in Bluetooth® wireless technology and wireless LAN connectivity.

The Trimble Recon GPS XB edition makes it easy to map a new asset or job location, ensuring that enterprise data is always up-to-date for effective decision-making. A Bluetooth connection to the receiver means you've got a cable-free, wearable GPS solution — no more snagging cables when moving through difficult terrain or getting in and out of a vehicle. You can connect to a range of peripherals using Bluetooth wireless technology, and access local area networks, e-mail and the internet using a wireless LAN connection.

The built-in wireless LAN can also be used with TrimPix™ technology to connect to a range of Wi-Fi capable Nikon digital cameras for automated capture of digital images. Download the TrimPix technology software, and you can take photos with your high resolution camera and easily send them wirelessly to your handheld.

As part of Trimble's family of rugged GPS solutions, the Trimble Recon GPS XB edition is compatible with Trimble software solutions for GIS data collection and maintenance. And because it's a Trimble solution, you have a single point of contact for service and support.
